Our 34" Black Ninja Bokken can be ordered in traditional oak or a more durable and modern polypropylene. Both are made for safe and practical sword training. When a student begins to work with a sword, he learns basic maneuvers with a Bokken. However, the Bokken can also be used as an effective weapon since it is made of strong, wood or polypropylene. In fact, some Ninja preferred to use the traditional oak Bokken on a missions rather than a regular sword.

The reasons for this was that a Bokken is lighter and easier to carry, there is no risk of cutting oneself, Bokkens are very easy to camouflage since they can be stained or painted, and when proper techniques are used, a Bokken can easily incapacitate, break bones and damage internal organs.

Our traditional oak Ninja bokken is best suited for light to medium contact only. Our modern polypropylene models can be used for hard and heavy contact.
